Today’s Weigh In

As my family keeps reminding me, the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas is the time of the year when most people put on a little weight.  There are many reasons for this, overeating being the number one reason.  Lack of exercise is a second.  Stress and busyness probably rank in at a close third.  I’m determined to beat those odds this year.

I don’t know if you remember or not, but last week I was worried about the effect of the holidays on my weight loss.  Apparently this week, my concerns helped me focus this week on healthier eating (even though my exercise wasn’t as consistent) because I was able to lose 2 lbs.  My weight is currently 182.75.  I have 7.75 lbs left in reaching my goal of 175 lbs.

In tomorrow’s blog, I’m going to share some important information that I learned today about my current body fat composition.  I hope that you will check it out.

Here’s what I had to eat today:

1 Special K Protein Meal Bar

1 Grilled Chicken Sandwich with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and bacon (very good bacon)

1 Serving of French Fries (Yeah, sue me.  It’s been awhile)

1 Ham Sandwich with Fat Free Cheese on Whole Wheat Sandwich Thins

1 Banana

1 Serving of Nonfat Kiwi/Strawberry Yogurt

90 oz of water

Supplements I’ve taken today:           

1 Fish Oil Pill

1 Multi Vitamin

Exercise:

30 Minutes of Walking

20 Minutes on the Elliptical Machine

Today’s Weigh In/Christmas Challenge

Today I weighed in at 184.75, only ¼ lb less than this time last week.  Some of you may remember that I was concerned at my last weigh in that the holidays were going to get the best of me.  Well, so far they almost have.  I looked back over the last week and realized that my diet didn’t measure up to what it had been over the last several weeks.  If I’m going to continue to lose weight (however small the amount may be) throughout the month of December, I’m going to need to eat better on a more consistent basis.

Here’s what I had to eat today:

1 Special K Protein Meal Bar

1 small piece of Christmas candy

1 Ham Sandwich on Whole Wheat with Fat Free Cheese

1 Red Delicious Apple with one teaspoon of lowfat peanut butter

1 Serving of Vegetable Soup

1 Small Salad with Lettuce, Broccoli, and Cucumbers

1 Serving of Nonfat Strawberry Yogurt with Blackberries

1 Serving of Popcorn

90 oz of water

Supplements I’ve taken today:           

1 Fish Oil Pill

1 Multi Vitamin

Exercise:

10 Minutes on the Elliptical Machine

90 Minutes of Walking

Today’s Weigh In!

Today’s Weigh In

Since I started this weight loss process, I haven’t counted any half pounds.  I always just rounded up.  But today, I’m counting every half pound I can get.  This past week, I lost 2 and a half pounds.  I now weigh in at 189.5 lbs.  It’s been a long time since I’ve seen the bottom side of 190 lbs.  I think it was the year 2000 when I lived in Kentucky.  When I was there I once got down to 184.  Hopefully, I’ll see that weight again soon.

Here’s what I’ve eaten today:

1 Special K Protein Meal Bar

1 Serving of Egg Drop Soup

2 Servings of Hot Pepper Chicken

1 Serving of Fried Rice

1 Fortune Cookie

1 Ham and Turkey Sandwich with Fat Free Cheese on Whole Wheat Sandwich Thins

1 Serving of Blueberry Yogurt

90 oz of water

Supplements I’ve taken today:           

1 Fish Oil Pill

1 Multi Vitamin

Exercise:

47 Minutes of Walking

30 times on the Chest Press Machine

110 Crunches on the Ab Machine
