Why Does Eating Grapefruit Help You Lose Weight?

Maybe there really is something to the grapefruit diet.  According to my friends at Eat This, Not That, A grapefruit a day in addition to your regular meals can speed weight loss.”  Apparently, the acidity in the fruit slows the digestion process.  What that means is that it takes a longer amount of time for grapefruit to move through your digestive system.  This means that after eating grapefruit, you will feel fuller for a longer period of time.

So, reach for the grapefruit and enjoy.  It’s good for you.  It will help you lose weight.

Here’s what I had to eat today:

1 Snackwell’s Protein Meal Bar

1/2 Grapefruit

1 Nonfat Blueberry Smoothie

1 Salad with Lettuce, Tomato, Cucumber, Broccoli, and Salad Toppers

1 Serving of Vegetable Soup

1 Serving Flank Steak with Red and Green Peppers

1 Serving of Grilled Chicken

2 Whole Wheat Tortillas

80 oz of Water

Supplements I’ve taken today:           

1 Fish Oil Pill

1 Multi Vitamin

Exercise Today:

75 Minutes of Walking

20 Squats
