Last night, I stayed up until 5:15 AM or so helping my parents out on their farm.  I was glad to be able to help them in one way or another.  Before today was over, though, I ended up craving caffeine so I could  stay awake.  So here’s the question, what foods or beverages are there that help you stay awake?  What about the opposite?  What foods or beverages do you know of that help you go to sleep?

Here’s what I had to eat today:

1 boiled egg

1 slice of whole wheat toast

1 ham and turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread

1 serving of pretzels dipped in nutella spread

1 serving of turkey

1 serving of baby carrots

1 serving of black eyed peas

2 chocolate chip cookies

70 oz of water

12 oz or Coca-cola (in order to stay awake)

Exercise:

30 minutes of walking
